Sala Daeng and Chulalongkorn reshape Thai accounting education for the AI Capable Accountant era

AI is reshaping how every industry works — and the accounting profession is at a turning point. The role is shifting from recording, checking, and summarizing financial data to understanding data, technology, and enterprise systems, and using AI to lift the work itself. The modern accounting world doesn’t just need "accountants who do the work correctly" — it needs accountants ready to work intelligently alongside AI.

On 14 March 2026, Sala Daeng partnered with the Department of Accountancy, Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Chulalongkorn University, to deliver an academic training program — sharing AI know-how with senior lecturers from universities across the country at Chaiyos Sombat 2 Building, Chulalongkorn University. The program is another important step in connecting business, enterprise technology, and education — giving educators a foundation to bring AI into their classrooms and help raise the next generation of talent ready for the AI-Driven Economy.

From the accounting classroom to the AI-ready accountant

As accounting, finance, and enterprise management get pushed harder by data, algorithms, and automation, developing the accounting curriculum is no longer about adding new tools — it’s about rethinking the whole approach. The training set the foundation for the AI Capable Accountant: accountants who can understand, choose, and work with AI appropriately — at the level of learning, data analysis, and real-world application inside organizations.
